Why “HEROES” Physical Therapy?

Even with progress in local schools, families in our community still travel 30–60 minutes outside the area to access skilled outpatient therapy for their children. .

HEROES Physical Therapy was created to change that.

We offer specialized, individualized therapy for children with complex physical and sensory needs—right here in Allegan County. But we go beyond the therapy session: we partner with parents, providing tools, education, and support to help them become confident advocates in their child’s growth.

Why “HEROES”?

Because every child who walks through our doors already is one. Our job is to help them uncover their strength, build new skills, and move forward with confidence—while supporting families every step of the way.

The Gap We're Filling

Families Deserve More Than Basic Therapy

After years of working across both adult and pediatric settings, Heather DeJonge, PT saw a clear need: children with more involved challenges were often receiving therapy that was too basic, too rushed, or not focused on meaningful progress. HEROES was built to fill that gap—with advanced tools, collaborative care, and a supportive space where families feel seen and heard.

Our Vision

Community-Centered, Personalized Care

We’re building more than a clinic. We’re creating a community-centered model of care that’s personalized, effective, and committed to long-term outcomes. Our future includes expanding into occupational and speech therapy, ensuring every child gets the care they truly need—close to home.
