
Heather DeJonge graduated from Grand Valley State University in 1999 with a Masters in Physical Therapy. Master’s thesis research on observational gait analysis versus 3D gait analysis for children with cerebral palsy. Heather has pursued intensive training throughout her career including Dynamic Movement Intervention Introductory Levels A, B, C; TASES (NMES); Universal Exercise Unit; TheraSuit Method basic; Whole Body Vibration; MOVE International Trainer Certification; McKenzie Method A & B lumbar, thoracic and cervical spine; CranioSacral, Myofascial, Acupressure; Wheelchair and Durable Medical Equipment Evaluation, Fitting, and Training.
She has been practicing over 26 years providing care for infants through adults with brain injury, spinal cord injury, orthopedic injuries and surgeries, wound care, autism, developmental and mobility impairments.
Heather is dedicated to helping people regain control of their lives and discover possibilities they never thought were within reach. She is especially committed to supporting children in learning to connect with and control their bodies, building confidence and independence. Heather is also passionate about ensuring children have access to the durable medical equipment they need to engage fully with their families, peers, and communities—and to see the world at eye level.
HEROES Physical Therapy was created to change that.
We offer specialized, individualized therapy for children with complex physical and sensory needs—right here in Allegan County. But we go beyond the therapy session: we partner with parents, providing tools, education, and support to help them become confident advocates in their child’s growth.
